Looking to connect Shopify for the first time? This article is only for refreshing an existing connection. To set up a new connection, go to How to connect Ringly.io to Shopify using a custom app.

Where do I refresh my Shopify connection?

Go to the Seth page, open Integrations with Seth, and click the three dots next to your connected Shopify store. Then click Refresh connection. You'll see a pop-up where you can paste your client ID and client secret.

Where to find the client ID and secret

If Ringly shows that your Shopify connection is lost, you need to reconnect by pasting your client ID and secret. Here's where to find them.

Step 1: Open the Shopify Dev Dashboard

Go to dev.shopify.com/dashboard and log in with the same account you use for your Shopify store.

Step 2: Open your Ringly app

Click on the app you created for Ringly. It's usually named Ringly.io.

Step 3: Go to Settings

Click Settings in the left sidebar.

Step 4: Copy the client ID and secret

You'll see your Client ID and Client secret on this page. Copy both values.

Step 5: Paste into Ringly

Go back to the refresh pop-up in Ringly and paste the client ID and secret.

Important

Do not click Rotate on your client secret in the Shopify Dev Dashboard. Rotating the secret will disconnect your store from Ringly and you will need to reconnect.

If you don't see your app in the Dev Dashboard, it may have been deleted. In that case, follow the full setup guide: How to connect Ringly.io to Shopify using a custom app.
