If your agent makes outbound calls but no one answers, the call goes to voicemail. But your agent can leave voicemails! Your agent knows exactly when the call goes to voicemail, so you can set up what the agent should do.
What to choose
When your agent reaches voicemail, it can:
Hang up: End the call immediately
Leave an AI voicemail: It waits for the beep and then leaves a message.
Set it up
Go to your agent
In the setup tab, scroll down to the 'Call settings' and look for 'Voicemail'.
Choose what happens when voicemail is detected:
Pick "Hang up" to end calls right away
Pick "Leave an AI voicemail" to leave a message
If leaving a message, write your voicemail script. The agent will say this literally.
You can also include dynamic variables if you sent them, like {{customer_name}} or {{customer_address}}. Learn more about dynamic variables.
Example voicemail: "Hi {{customer_name}}, this is Jane from Acme Corp. Please give us a callback when you have time."
